Oshawa's impoverished: searching for solutions, breaking stigma and shunning statistics

"Green pulls on a cigarette and looks at a second set of numbers. A similar statistical profile, but for one of Oshawa’s other areas: downtown. Her eyes widen."

This story was part of my first investigative series for The Oshawa Express. This story was part of my collection was named as runner-up for best investigative news series by the Ontario Community Newspapers Association in 2016.
